Orders are prepared within 5-7 working days, then delivered within 7-15 working days: 12-22 working days in total. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is dispatched.

A simple rule: add the length and width of the room in feet; the total, in inches, gives a good starting diameter for your chandelier. For example, a 12 x 14 ft room suits a chandelier of about 26 inches (66 cm) wide. See our Size Guide for room-by-room advice.

Choose a diameter between half and two-thirds of the width of your table, and leave at least 15 cm between the chandelier and the edge of the table on each side.

Over a dining table, the bottom of the chandelier should sit 75-90 cm above the table. In a room where people walk underneath, keep at least 2.1 m of clearance from the floor.

For a stairwell or double-height hallway, choose a long, multi-tier or cascade chandelier. As a guide, allow about 7-8 cm of chandelier height for every 30 cm of ceiling height, and hang it so that it can be seen from both floors without blocking the view. Yes. Today's crystal chandeliers mix timeless sparkle with clean, modern frames (gold, chrome, black), and work as well in contemporary homes as in period properties.

We strongly recommend having your chandelier installed by a qualified electrician, in line with UK wiring regulations. Check that your ceiling can support the weight of the fitting.

Switch off the power and let the bulbs cool. Wear cotton gloves and gently wipe each crystal with a soft, lint-free cloth, lightly dampened with a mix of warm water and a little washing-up liquid or isopropyl alcohol. For a quick clean without taking it down, use a dedicated chandelier spray and let it drip dry onto a protected floor. Never spray the electrical parts.

You can return your item within 14 days of receiving it. Return shipping is paid by the customer for change-of-mind returns; if your item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, we cover the return. Full details in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Contact us at contact@highcrestlighting.com, ideally within 48 hours, with photos of the damage and of the packaging. You can then choose an exchange or a full refund, and we cover the return costs.
